15 Nigerian Universities blacklisted

Abuja - The National Universities Commission (NUC) has announced the blacklisting of five additional “fake” universities bringing to a total of 15 of such this year alone, so far closed and operating illegally, in the Nigeria.

The blacklisted schools are Blacksmith University, Awka, St Paul University College, Awka, both in Anambra State; and, Rev. D.O. Ockiya College of Theology and Management Sciences, Ogbia, Bayelsa State.

Others are University of Applied Science and Management, Port Novo, Republic of Benin; University of Industry, Yaba, Lagos.

According to a release in Abuja, the Executive Secretary, NUC, Prof Julius Okojie, warned parents and students against patronizing such schools.

Bishop Oyedepo warns against Nigeria doom

Bishop David OyedepoSango Ota - Covenant University chancellor and Presiding Bishop of the Winners Chapel Assembly, Dr. David Oyedepo, has warned of great consequences if the country continues to produce graduates without employment opportunities as there are no jobs for them after graduation, a situation which poses serious threat to the country’s corporate existence.

According to the President of David Oyedepo Ministries (DOMI), “We are producing graduates and there are no jobs for them. The curriculum is overdue for change all over the world.  There is a glut of graduates everywhere”, he noted.

Breaking News: RCCG begin search for Adeboye’s successor

RCCG General Overseer, Pastor E.A. AdeboyeSango Ota - General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of Nigeria, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on Thursday night astounded critics of the church when he publicly announced that the church had begun the ultimate search for his own successor.

Lately, there had been speculations as to what becomes of the octopodal RCCG when the erstwhile university lecturer who took the church from its obscurity to the enviable height it enjoys today, enventually passed on.

While some persons had gone spiritual by liking Pastor Adeboye to biblical Enoch who was taken away without tasting death, arguing that in that situation the church might witness some rumblings which might shake it to its foundation.
