Lagos - Veteran highlife musician, Sunday Akanite, popularly known as Oliver De Coque has died at a Lagos Hospital over the weekend. Although cause of his sudden death was not disclosed, but sources close to the family of the highlife musician said he had not been feeling well for some time now.
According to his son, his father was hale and hearty. “My father was not sick, he said he was going to rest and that was all. I still cannot believe that he is dead.”

Ace Musician turned evangelist, Sonny Okosuns, has passed on to glory at 61. He died Saturday in Howard Hospital, Washington, D.C, after a long running battle against cancer of the colon.
Several Nigerian musicians such as Onyeka Onwenu, Oliver De-Coque, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Prince Wadada, and Dele Abiodun, all paid glowing tribute to the icon.
Known for his unrepentant defense of the June 12, 1993 mandate of the late Social Democratic Party presidential candidate, Chief M.K.O Abiola, Evangelist Okosuns was also an outspoken supporter of the last Chief Olusegun Obasanjo administration.

Lagos - Adaeze Igwe has emerged as the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria after a well contested event involving 29 other girls from different states of Nigeria.
The annual event organized by Silver Bird Entertainment was held at the Expo Centre, Ocean View, Victoria-Island, Lagos and had several celebrity judges such as Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Babatunde Funsho-Williams, Stephanie Okereke, Nadya Latova, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, and Lara Aromolaran.
