KickoffNigeria - Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju is set to join the the Shooting Stars Football Club as the Club administrator and chief executive officer.
According to preports, the veteran Eagles scorer, recently met with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Chief Christopher Adebayo Alao- Akala, who requested that he [Adepoju] return home from his Spanish base, to take the club back to glory.
Mutiu, who holds a dual Nigerian and Spanish nationality, has just concluded an advance football management course and was set to join second division side, Alicante where he resides with his wife and four children.
It will be recalled that the veteran midfielder started his football (soccer)Â career with the Shooting Stars, then IICC Football Club, and later played for Julius Berger FC of Lagos, before moving to Europe to play in the Spanish professional league. Adepoju was well known for scoring with his head in his Green Eagle’s days.
