Nigerian Govt scraps Integrated Science, Intro Tech
An article in the Nigerian Tribune today, pointed out that the FG has recently abolished two popular subjects that some of us cannot forget for a long time - Integrated Science (IS) and Introductory Technology (IT). It brings back some great memories to me about those subjects. These were subjects that were the practical foundation for a university career in the Sciences (I studied Industrial Chemistry for First degree and Geochemistry for Masters). Integrated Science was a subject that combined all three core science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology - PhyChemBa as we called them in those days) together. I was not much of a fan of Introductory Technology, but I had lots of friends who cherished taking that subject twice a week.  This has led to careers in Engineering for a whole lot of people.
